What's on My Face?
So, what am I using now that I have stepped up my focus on better ingredients for my body (yes, what you put on your face affects your entire body)?
Through trial and error, research, and journaling, I now reach for a number of core products that provide facial skin nourishment, hydration, and the glow that I love for my mature, reactive complexion. And you know what? My skin has never looked better.
I am not in a position to prescribe a holy grail solution, and what works for me may not work for you. The beauty of life is that we are all unique beings. My intention is to provide empirical information and curated insights from sourced experts to help you save steps in shifting your skin care inventory to better living solutions.
Although I have established a core base of products that I use, I am still on the hunt to learn more about new formulas, emerging brands, and reliable applications.
Here’s my current list*:
Biologique Recherche – I use one of their cleaners from time to time, one of their masques, and their Lotion P50 toner (I use the P50W)—a toner that has been heralded for years.
Honua Hawaiian Skincare - their assortment of facial masks are nourishing without drying.
Indie Lee Skincare – love the founder’s story, great serums, facial oils, eye serum, and masks are what works for me.
Leahlani Skincare – their Meli Glow Illuminating Nectar Mask is quite moisturizing and smells delicious.
Organic Plain Greek Yogurt – yes, yogurt. It’s an effective cleansing mask and helps with skin flare ups, acne, and basic cleaning (your choice of brand).
Pause Well-Aging Skincare – if you're dealing with any stage of menopause, or need a good collagen moisturizer this is it.
The Ordinary Squalane Oil - a dry facial oil that hydrates and moisturizes (quickly absorbs into the skin).
Timeless Skin Care© – a lovely line of hydrating and nourishing serums.
What’s on your list? I’d like to know and share what’s working for you.
